The poems of this book have been written by me in 1997 and 1998. The last part was written in 2003 and is unfinished (only 7 poems). I have divided my poems into different subjects, which the contents pages show (reading the notes is recommended).

Most of my poems need to be read in a boasting sort of way, as knights used to endeavour in boasting about their acts. The double meaning of certain poems is referred to in the notes, subject by subject.

I have since my youth had a fascination for the medieval times. I have translated this fascination into poems. I might return to writing English poems, but I am very dedicated to my Dutch poems at the moment, which I shall translate into English at a certain date.
